Texoma Semiconductors
Semiconductors are the brains behind the 21st century devices we all depend on. The Texoma Semiconductor Tech Hub is dedicated to building jobs and a skilled workforce across Texas and Oklahoma to reduce our dependence on importing these crucial components.
“Today I saw an incredible amount of collaboration across all the different institutions here in the hub.”
On July 29, 2024, U.S. Department of Commerce's EDA Tech Hubs Program Director Eric Smith reflects on his visit to the Texoma Semiconductor Tech Hub, which gave him the opportunity to tour different hub areas, meet consortium members and attend informative roundtable discussions.
“The Texoma Semiconductor Tech Hub embodies the spirit and potential of the Tech Hubs program to take centers of excellence and make them world-class tech ecosystems through targeted investments,” said Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo.
“That’s precisely why I’ve asked Director Smith to travel to Texas to meet with leadership and provide technical assistance on their strategy. The Tech Hubs Program is crucial to ensuring tech industries vital to U.S. economic and national security start, stay, and grow in the U.S., and that’s why I’m committed to future rounds of funding and working with lawmakers to support additional federal resources to support all of our designees.”
We Are Texoma Tech Hub
The Texoma Semiconductor Innovation Consortium is a powerhouse of Universities, Corporations, and Municipalities focused on building the infrastructure for research, prototyping, training, and manufacture of Semiconductors across the Texas Oklahoma border.
